Essex Lakefront

This extraordinary property overlooks Lake Champlain, with beautiful views towards Vermont's shoreline. Our client wanted to fully take advantage of these views while preserving the landscape features and access to the lake, and protecting the shoreline. Careful placement of varying sizes of local stone boulders enabled a smooth and natural transition to the existing lakefront and created a flat space for entertaining and access to an existing re-stabilized boat launch. A new set of bluestone stairs enables easier navigation from road level to the new dining patio. Hardy perennials and grasses create a colorful backdrop to the patio and stabilize steeper slopes.
